Swerves
Swerves was an attempt to remarket an item on the market known as Chariot Skates. The product, if you observe the official website, is incredibly expensive (around $4000) to purchase a single pair. This is the result of the patent owner custom making all of the parts out of carbon fiber, as well as not wanting to sell the patent idea to any companies. In this project, however, the product was marketed as the next outdoor non-traditional recreational tool; not quite a bike, not quite skates. The technique was synonymous to products such as the Razor Scooter or the Ripstick.
