The Artifix
The Artifix is a design for a prosthetic finger that is meant to return mobility, utility, and, to an extent, precision grip to anyone who is missing a finger. The design is applicable to any digit that may be missing, and the movement of it is based of a wire system that introduces the concept of "exaggerated tension." The product uses inexpensive 3D printing technology for its manufacturing, allowing it to be sold cheaply to anyone who can't afford an expensive medical prosthetic.
